"CLASS OUTING!!"
- samantha kOkay, I don't really get what Gid was trying to say in the prev post, but I'm almost done with hbl so YAY :D We just had a very fail discussion about class outing, sorry those who weren't online at that time! Anyway, here are the ideas that we have consolidated (at least we still have something to work on):
Basically Sentosa is to suntan, catch fish (illegally), breathe in bad dusty air due to IR construction, and sing Miley Cyrus songs on the beach. Go to Dominic's house is for the sake of squeezing together in a 1500 sq ft hse to promote class bonding, watch home theatre on his tv and do "random stuffies" as quoted by Carol. Watch a movie, is to enjoy shows on "a big screen and a good sound system". Yep that's about all. We actually can have all three, a full day event. haha :) I'm thinking of having it on either 15, 16, 17 March, cos most people have stuff on the weekends. Ctr-C, Ctr-V the BROKEN link (eg http://elearning.hci.edu.sg/emb/college_eng_pw/attach/1002220041778040_GP%20Home%20based%20learning%202010.pp) 2. Look at the address bar. See the 'elearning.hci.edu.sg' part at the front after your 'http://'? 3. REMOVE the first letter of your 'elearning' (the letter 'e' lah!) 4. Hit enter button on your keyboard. 5. VOILA! - GidOkay, i'm sorry i blogged this so late, as I just got back from dramafeste @ 11+ (yeah, tough day!) Anyway, I just hope to address some stuff with you guys here, hopefully not naggy/rant-y! I just hope that by A levs, we'd be very bonded as a class, and that we'd be so full of life. It can be done, and it's great to see many ppl work that way. However, we do need to take some initiatives too. Today's AV rep form is jst a point to ponder: I can't be doing everything, because: 1. i have really limited time & energy, and 2. this isn't a tyranny/dictatorship 3. it's just not fun if only 1 person does everything for the class. Where's class spirit? Okay, I think you've already gotten what I'm trying to say, so i shan't talk abt it alr! If anyone had to put up with my strange rants, do forgive me! I'm really tired from dramafeste prac, sleeping less than 5 hours a day, etc etc. Hence my fuse really shortened. Many thanks to Biqi! Your sour mix mentos really saved me in math lecture! (Now you know that your poor ct rep is also prone to falling asleep in class OO" hahaha)

"PE matters"
- biqihi S76! got 3 things to settle about pe stuff haha. 1. Cross country so, we need 4 guys and 4 girls minimum to run for the competitive section. the guys are settled alr, as for the girls, currently me chunhui kim and rebecca are running, but there might be changes cos kim might not want to run. anyone else interested tell me asap k? and anw is there anyone who cant run bcos of exemption from pe or sth? cos each class can send 3 people max to be officials(i kindof forgot what they're supposed to do, maybe marshalling or sth?). anyone interested(if you dont feel like running) come find me okayyy! first come first serve basis hahaha. there's this first aider post that you can sign up for also, but you must have a valid first aid cert though. and dawn has already taken up the CIP rep position, so too bad for whoever is thinking of that(: 2. YOG Sports Quiz k, each class is supposed to come up with a quiz thingy(MCQ in excel format) with 20 questions. for our class we'll be doing the topic Tennis. out of the 20 qns, we must have 3 picture qns(meaning the 4 options are pictures). yeapp. i think nic can provide us with backgroud info right! haha. submission date is 10march, so we have to chiong asap :/ anw this is the format for the quiz:  3. Research(?) idk what this is about actually, apparently we have to prepare a presentation on the theme Sports context(career management) which i have no idea what it means. k, so there's 2 qns for us to present about. (1) How has setting up of a sports school in Singapore affected the development of sports excellence? What are the possible academic and career developments for a sports school athlete? How do we ensure employability of professional athletes? (2) What are the popular sports in Venezuela? Identify the sports development for these athletes. CHEEM TTM RIGHT!!! since when did pe become such a mugger subj. kay anw, can we like split up into 3 groups, one group do quiz, one group do qn1, the rest do qn2? so since we have 26 ppl, number 1 to 8 do quiz, 9 to 17 do qn1, 18 to 26 do qn2? can can can? im not v sure when we have to present the 2 qns, but we just try to do as much as we can first okay? but for those doing quiz, really have to rush alr lahh. when you all are done send me k, then i'll send to the tic. yeapp. jiayou! You guys need to go to a MOE related website to read up about PW (because your PW teacher will ask you about it) and print the attached form and fill it up and hand it in! Make things easy for me okay! THANK YOU! 2. OCIP! Okay, for those of you who don't know, OCIP is actually quite like prestigious thing in our school. Only the best students get to go. Just an idea, last year the ARE (All-Round Excellence) Awardees were allowed to go on a subsidized trip to OCIP Cambodia before the Orientation started! So guys! Don't miss this opportunity! The OCIP trips are: (1) OCIP Nepal (2nd to 11th June 2010) (2) OCIP Cambodia (1st to 10th June 2010) (3) OCIP Sichuan (30th May to 7th June 2010) (4) OCIP Vietnam (6th June to 15th June 2010) If anyone is interested to sign up, tell me okay! (does the Ares cheer) Great going for the dances! Although there were minor slip-ups, we prevented ourselves from becoming 'beyond the rubrics' (Hao jie, 2010)! Nevertheless, great going for the other facs too! They did have some dance moves that were harder than ours, you know. 2. School Starts On Wednesday *I know I risk getting stoned on wednesday for posting this up when holiday starts >< * Okay, but aside from cheery moods, don't forget: A.
