"PW Rep speaks!"
- Yang Cheng007

PW Rep speaks!

Okay people (HAHA). We all want an A in PW. To get this A it is not easy. It will require a lot of hard work from all of us. We all aim to get A. So we will be working towards this target. Remember people, this is our first A level Paper. Our A Level has started. HAHA.

Today I have 3 things on the agenda list. I'm sorry it is so rushed because once again I have to compress 2 lessons into 1 because we keep missing PW Periods.

Today I have 3 things to talk about:

1. PW on Monday, 29/7/2010
2. PW PI Extensive Research
3. PW Presentation Skills Workshop

PW On Monday
Will be held during the Personal Time period as we missed last Wednesday PW's period. Please remember to bring your PW stuff thank you very much :D

PW PI Extensive Research
For those who did not bring the "bible" last lesson and haven't handed in to me your punishment, just remember to do your punishment the next time you have to do. Today I handed in to him and told him everyone who is supposed to hand in handed in :D

So remember to do extensive research. 3 case studies for each bullet from each question, and 3 articles for each case study. The magic number here is 3. On Tuesday, we will still have a half hour period with Mr Sami, so he wants to see the articles by then so please do be prepared! For enhanced productivity, I suggest we advocate division of labour whereby individual research expertise is tapped upon to ensure that we all end up with 36 articles. IF that was too confusing, I am simply saying I suggest some of us work together and share articles :D

PW Presentation Skill Workshop
I had submitted the dates to Mr Nah. The dates are:

1st Choice: 24th July
2nd Choice: 17th July
3rd Choice: 10th July

I am not sure if it's 3 sessions, but I think its only 1 session they wanted us to submit the 3 so we can be allocated our 2nd choice if we can't be allocated our 1st choice. Take note of more updates on this.

With that, I'm more or less done, so I will talk about other stuff!

Econs
Essay question 1 and 2 by next monday, and the rest of the tutorial by next Friday (which is actually a school holiday hahaha we own).

STJ
17 Dairy Farm Road, along Upper Bukit Timah Road
Buse: 171, 170, 961, 67, 184, 75, 178
Stop next to Salvation Army
From school side, stop after rail mall.
By car: Enter by North Gate and go up the hill.

Walk towards pool and turn left to function room. We'll start at 7.

That's it. Bye bye!

"X-country!"
- Gid

It's been quite a heck of a day, but here's the highlights!

1. X-Country!

For some strange reasons, I SURVIVED Competitive Boys X-country! *phew!*

Anyway, let's not forget to put our hands together for Qua Bi Qi, Champion of the Competitive Girls! (does a standing ovation)

To Nic, Willy & YC, it's a shame you couldn't join in on the fun! The air was really fresh =(

2. Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to the following OUTSTANDING individuals of 10S76!

Nicholas Tan Jun Rong

Tan Wei Lin

Wong Yang Cheng

We hope that the recognition of your multi-disciplinary talents will greatly benefit the class henceforth.

3. (something-not-so-pleasant)

Okay, i've posted this 3 posts ago, but only 1 person has responded to my post!

I don't want to use the class relay system, because I don't think you'd need a silly SMS to tell you to enter some important info. It's not urgent anyway- just important.

I've said enough already. Final reminder: Enter your hours when you're free for group work discussion, etc etc. It's easier to find you than to keep asking, right? (you can always change accordingly!)

Okay, enough. Happy re-adjusting to school work!

I came to class blog about to post that class blog is strictly for ANNOUNCEMENTS or PHOTO-SHARING but not for campaign publicity, but it looks like I got here too late T.T

Sorry, pardon my sudden-anti-council-publicity-stance. I mean, I came home to a flood of emails all from FB, how UNcool is that?

Anyway, I posted something on the blog, but no one has payed any attention to it! *shows the spontaneous combustion smiley on MSN*

The list of free hours are NOT final. You can always edit it, cos i think we'll be making constant changes to it anyway.

Ciao, and happy Chem Mugging!

Okay, hello and goodbye and good luck to the few seniors who spammed our tag board: Liang Pin, Zhan Hao, Sarah, Jun An, plus Random Seniors 2/5.

Okay, so bio test is tomorrow, and chem test on tuesday. And i'm wondering what I'm doing here blogging on class blog when nobody's bound to read at this point.

Anyway, I've found it annoying that ppl cannot be contacted when needed. At the same time, it's just as irritating that you're contacted when you're busy.

To prevent more problems, I've created the spreadsheet here @ http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=tztsYC5s98hA9foKXXWMdGw&hl=en

What you have to do is write down the times you're free to discuss work or chat or whatever. It will make it easier to settle appointment times. I've set mine in already as an example.

Thanks!

"Class Gathering [At my House?]"
- Yang Cheng007

[To Get to My House]

If you are coming from school, please take 174 from Hwa Chong Side until the bus interchange.
From Boon Lay Bus Interchange, take 241 and alight the moment you see a soccer field [B22451]

If you are taking MRT, please take the green line until Pioneer MRT Station. Alight, go out of the MRT via the right side (the side with a bakery without Bubble Tea) . Alternatively you can take the green line until Boon Lay MRT Station and take 241 and alight the moment you see a soccer field.

If anyone is driving you, just drive until Yunnan Gardens okay.

Once you reach, you can call me and I will fetch you to my house from there. If you know how to come straight to my house then just do that okay I'm lazy. If there is a really nice movie that you all want to watch, please bring it yourself okay. Please do bring along your own tidbits if you intend to bring, and buy some soft drinks also.

For dinner, we can either go out or call delivery.

However mine is a very traditional family so there are a few requests I'm making.

1. Please do not make too much noise
2. Girls please do not wear too short skirts/shorts because my mum dont like
3. Be polite to my parents and my dog :D

Please FB/text/email me if you are
a. Going or not going
b. What time to what time
c. Bringing movie and what movie (I suggest you all bring)

Due to the popular demand, I went home to ask my mother if I can bring my friends over to my house.

Me: 妈妈,下个星期二,我的朋友可以不可以来我们家?班聚会。
Mum:
他们来做什么?
Me:
他们要来看电影
Mum:
看电影不会去戏院看。
Me:
因为在家里看比较便宜
Mum:
你要买零食给他们吃啊?他们很吵怎么办?
Me:
Orh, 我叫他们自己带零食, 也不要那么吵咯
Mum:
这样就可以
Me:
晚餐如果你们在家里吃饭,我就叫他们一起到外面吃.
Mum:
你们晚餐叫Pizza还是KFC也可以
Me:
Orh.
Mum:
叫他们不要疯疯癫癫,把整间屋子弄到乱七八糟
Me:
Orh. 下个星期二 hor, 下午到差不多晚上
Mum:
Orh.

So yar.

Interesting way of presentation. But this conversation really did happen.

Re: Clarification on normal goods [Tutorial #4] From: Wu Shuang Jennifer 11-03-10 To: 10S76

Hi 76,Just to clarify the definition of 'normal good' (the term which appeared in your tutorial #4), normal good refers to a good whose demand rises when incomes rises (and whose demand falls when income falls). Inferior goods, on the other hand, refers to goods whose demand falls when incomes rises (and whose demand rises when incomes falls). So one example of normal good is fine dining restaurants, and that of inferior good may be canteen good. Please ignore the more than proportionate part that i spoke about as it applies only to 'normal luxury goods'. [The concept of luxury and necessities will be taught in lecture series #7.]

Cheers,Ms Jennifer
