Dear C1 students,

The theme for this year's National Day is "Live our dreams, Fly our flag".

To commemorate this special occasion, we are holding a Kite Making and Design Competition for all C1 classes. Every C1 class is required to submit a completed kite by 2nd August 2010 (Monday). Attractive prizes will be given out to classes with the best designs.

To prepare each class for this event, we will be holding a kite-making workshop this Thursday, 15th July 2010, from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm at room A317. Each C1 class is to send a representative to pick up the kite-making skills from the workshop and to collect the materials for the kite.

As such, CT rep of each C1 class, please provide the name, class and contact number of the representative by responding to this EMB message by Tuesday 13th July 2010. The selected student is to report punctually to A317 this Thursday.

An article is also attached for you to draw some inspirations for your kite design. Have Fun!

Thank you.

Regards

Dear Students,

For the photo-taking sessions taking place over the next 2 weeks (involving the C1s and some C2 classes) , the school seeks your assistance and vigilance to ensure all the requirements are met. As past experiences have shown, a single discrepancy spotted in a student within the taken photo could result in a reshoot for the entire class. So to save the trouble for both teachers and students, please :

i) Get a decent hair cut *if not mrs tambb will come & find you personally hahahaaaa* this weekend esp the boys (see requirements below for boys haircut)
ii) Listen to the student helpers and teachers during the shoot

If requirements are not adequately met, we will not hesitate to pin your hair up (boys and girls alike) or request that the class come down for another shoot during the holidays.

Broad guidelines include:
For MALE students:
- Do advise them to get a hair cut this weekend or before
the photo shoot (an EMB message is sent out to them).
- Hair must not reach
the ears or shirt collars
- Fringes should not be flopping; covering their
eyes
- Face must be clean shaven
- No jewelry allowed (i.e. earrings,
necklaces, bracelets etc)
- Footwear: Only white, black or brown coloured
shoes are allowed. No neon or fluorescent coloured panels/stripes.
- Please
put on collar pins

For FEMALE Students:
- Long hair must be tied up
neatly
- Fringes should not be covering the eyes
- Liner or ankle socks
which are not clearly visible when worn with shoes are not allowed.
- Only
one pair of simple ear studs are allowed
- Collar pins must be worn
