HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY SAMANTHA THE CT REP :D

stay happy & enjoy your sweet seventeen!

anw, on a more serious note:
Dear Students,

1. This is a repeat reminder as many groups are still writing about their case study without any reference to "alternatives"or "amalgamation". See the yellow highlights in the box below. Whether you are doing Task 1 or Task 2, you need to show that your case study fulfils the 1st bullet.

TASK 2:
Identify a situation or problem where alternatives have been considered (e.g. in energy, manufacturing, transport, architecture, etc.) and show the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
• Show how another problem or situation could be considered in a similar way, resulting in a successful outcome.

2. Many groups are ignoring the word "similar" in the 2 Tasks. See the blue highlights above! What are the similarities between the situation in the case study and the problem you are addressing that caused you to choose that model? A mere description of the case study without links to your chosen problem does not show its function as a case study or a model.

3. Some groups are forgetting to analyse how the use of amalgamation (Task 1) or the use of alternative methods (Task 2) were effective in the case study. See the pink highlights above! This is a stated requirement in the exam paper.

4. Some groups are proposing solutions to their chosen problem without any reference or link to the case study or model. Why do you think the examiner has included Bullet 1 in each of the Tasks?

5. Remember to hand in the complete WR draft to your ST before Week 10 of this term.

Best wishes,
Mrs Ong

We will be commemorating National Day on 6 Aug (Fri)!

The celebrations will start with morning assembly at the central plaza at 7.30 am.

After which all students are to proceed to the Hall for the National Day concert.
Please be seated by 7.50 am. (See seating plan & programme booklet attached)
You can come dressed in red and white to commemorate the event, or be in
FULL school uniform.

Please be reminded to dress appropriately and do not wear sleeveless tops or bottoms ending more than 2 cm above the knee.
Please come in appropriate covered shoes.

All students are to bring along a PEN for the celebrations as well so that you can pen down your well-wishers for our YOG athletes.

So, start planning your outfits and see you at the National Day concert!
